Shark just launched AquaReach, which it’s calling the first wet-and-dry cleaning system built to tackle more than just your floors. It vacuums and mops hard floors simultaneously, then extends its reach with an integrated wand for spots a regular floor cleaner can’t touch—baseboards, windowsills, cabinet fronts, and other hard surfaces.
The idea reportedly came from watching people online create makeshift cleaning hacks (wrapping towels around mops, taping microfiber cloths to tools) just to reach those in-between spots. Shark’s marketing VP Petra Oman said those DIY hacks revealed a real gap, and AquaReach was built specifically to address it.
On the floor, the brushroll spins continuously while a jet of cleaning solution loosens stuck-on debris, and suction lifts away both dirt and dirty liquid at the same time. When you need to go beyond the floor, the extendable wand brings that same vacuum-and-mop combo to two specialized attachments:
- Stain Scrubber – Targeted spray plus suction for stuck-on messes on floors, baseboards, windowsills, and even behind toilets or along bathtub ledges.
- Detailer Mop – Designed to get under furniture, along edges, and into tight corners.
To keep things sanitary between cleans, AquaReach continuously refreshes its brushroll while running, uses a dual-tank system to keep clean and dirty water separate, and rinses the brushroll on the dock after every use. The step-up AquaReach Pro model adds a Total Self-Cleaning and Drying System, with a self-sanitizing dock that rinses the brushroll and dries it with heated air up to 160°F, claiming to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria in the process.
Both models also come with an Edge-Optimized Nozzle for tighter cleaning along baseboards and edges, plus an LED Reveal Beam to light up hidden dust and debris.
Pricing and availability: The standard Shark AquaReach is priced at $399.99, while the AquaReach Pro runs $529.99. Both are available now on SharkNinja.com and TikTok Shop, with additional colors and retail availability rolling out over the coming weeks.
