EA and Bit Reactor, working with Lucasfilm Games, just launched Star Wars Zero Company, a single-player turn-based tactics game set during the twilight of the Clone Wars. It’s available now on PC (via the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store), plus PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles.
The story follows Hawks, a former Republic officer, and his crew Zero Company—a ragtag squad of hired specialists ranging from ex-nobles to ex-cons. They’re pulled into an operation by Republic Intelligence to take down the Infinite Coil, a Separatist-aligned cult, and stop their leader, Kundri Fathom, before something called the Shadow Plague spreads across the galaxy.
Gameplay centers on leading your squad through tactical missions and investigations woven into a cinematic original story. Building relationships between squadmates unlocks combat synergies you can use to turn fights in your favor, and you’ll customize Hawks’ combat style and appearance while filling out the rest of the roster with original and custom-built Star Wars characters—tweaking their look, loadout, and abilities. Between missions, you’ll manage strategy from your home base, The Den.
This is the debut title from Bit Reactor, a studio founded by veteran developers who’ve previously worked on franchises like XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online, so the tactics pedigree here runs deep.
The game’s original score comes from GRAMMY-winning composer Gordy Haab and is available now through Walt Disney Records.
Pricing: The standard edition is available now at retail and digital storefronts. The Digital Deluxe Edition, which adds Clone Wars-era cosmetic items, runs $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on consoles. There’s also a Collector’s Edition priced at $299.99 that includes a Zero Company-themed Hasbro Black Series Thermal Detonator, a Steelbook, a desk mat, and more.
