COLORFUL just launched the iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14, a new AMD X870E motherboard that adds a darker, street-art-inspired option to its iGame Ultra family. It’s aimed at gamers and creators who want serious power delivery, fast storage, and a board that doesn’t look like every other PC build.
The look is the first thing you’ll notice. The black board carries the Ultra series’ hip-hop-inspired style, with graffiti-style typography and dot-matrix artwork across the heatsink armor. Below the VRM nameplate, pixel-inspired ARGB lighting gives off a gradient glow. There’s a practical touch too: an M.2 quick-release latch on the heatsink lets you get at the SSDs underneath without tools.
Under the armor, a 16+2+1-phase 80A DrMOS power design is built to feed high-end AMD chips, including the dual-CCD Ryzen 9 9950X3D. An integrated clock generator lets you adjust the CPU base clock, so enthusiasts get finer tuning control than multiplier overclocking alone.
Memory support is strong as well. The board handles up to four 48GB modules at up to 6600MHz with CL28 timings, so you can run high capacity and high frequency at the same time.
Storage and connectivity are where this one stands out:
- Five M.2 slots, three of them PCIe 5.0 x4, for plenty of next-gen SSD options
- Two USB4 40Gbps ports on the rear I/O for fast external drives and demanding peripherals
For Ryzen 9000 X3D owners, COLORFUL’s X3D AI High Frame Mode is built in. Developed at its Shenzhen and Taipei R&D centers, it automatically tunes PBO, temperature and power limits, and voltage. The goal is stronger gaming performance and fewer FPS drops without giving up multi-core productivity.
Pricing and availability: The iGame X870E ULTRA-S V14 has a suggested retail price of CNY 1,899, roughly $265 USD. Pricing and availability vary by region, and COLORFUL hasn’t announced international pricing, so check with your local COLORFUL representative.
